Who is Holy Family
Episcopal Church?
Because God is bringing all things together in Christ, we are a church for people without a church.
To keep Jesus at the center of our lives by gathering, listening, responding, feasting, and being sent to love others.

Frequently asked questions
-
Yes, we are proud members of The Episcopal Church in The Diocese of Texas.
-
We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As constituent members of the Anglican Communion in the United States, we are descendants of and partners with the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church, forming part of the third-largest group of Christians in the world.
We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.
With a legacy of inclusion, we strive to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being. Women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together as leaders at all levels, recognizing that leadership is a gift from God, meant to be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation. Persons of all abilities, ages, ethnicities, gender expressions and identities, political leanings, races, religious traditions, sexual orientations, and socio-economic statuses are both welcomed and celebrated as expressions of God's creativity at Holy Family Episcopal Church. For clarity: Yes, we hire, are currently led by, ordain, and officiate weddings for women and LGBTQ persons.

We like to keep it low-key, so feel free to show up however you’d like.
But if fancy is your thing, you do you.

100% of the money you give to Holy Family Episcopal Church goes directly toward our ministry.
As a new congregation, the Episcopal Diocese of Texas contributes significantly to our annual operating expenses. However, the Holy Family congregation is responsible for raising all additional funds needed for ministry expenses beyond what the Diocese provides. As our congregation grows, the hope is to gradually reduce our reliance on Diocesan contributions.
The Holy Family Episcopal Church Bishop’s Committee, composed of lay leaders appointed by Bishop Doyle, oversees the congregation’s fundraising efforts and stewardship of finances, including the approval of ministry team leaders’ estimated expenses.
Holy Family clergy and lay leaders work diligently to ensure that our organization is a good steward of the resources entrusted to us.
