HOLY WEEK + EASTER

at Holy Family Episcopal Church

Step into a week that moves like a tide—one day flowing into the next.

The palms rustling in your hands. The taste of bread and wine. The weight of silence. The glow of new fire. We immerse ourselves in this story with all our senses, drawn deeper into the mystery of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

This isn’t about retelling the past. This is happening right now.

PALM SUNDAY

Sunday, April 13 | 9 AM & 11 AM

The journey begins as we wave palms and walk the road to the cross. A victory that looks like defeat. A defeat that looks like victory. The nursery will be open for ages 1-3.

FROM DEATH TO LIFE

THREE HOLY NIGHTS

This is the Paschal Triduum—the heart of the Christian year.
It’s not three separate services. It’s one unfolding liturgy, stretched across three nights. We begin on Thursday. We end on Saturday. To help us understand this as one liturgy, there is one worship booklet and there is no benediction (sending with a blessing) until the very end of the Easter Vigil. The nursery will be open for ages 1-3 for all three nights.

NIGHT ONE: THE MANDATE

Maundy Thursday, April 17 | 7 PM

Jesus kneels to wash his disciples’ feet. He shares a meal and calls it his body. The altar is stripped. The light begins to fade

NIGHT TWO: THE SHADOWS

Good Friday, April 18 | 7 PM

The story moves deeper into darkness. We follow Jesus to the cross. The light around us dims, little by little, until we are left in silence.`

NIGHT THREE: THE VIGIL

Easter Vigil, April 19 | 8 PM

Easter begins at night. We start outside by fire, waiting in the dark. Then, the light begins to rise. We hear the story of salvation. We celebrate baptisms. We proclaim resurrection.

EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday, April 20 | 9 AM & 11 AM

Christ is risen! We gather to celebrate, to feast, and to sing. Bring your friends and loved ones to join the celebration. The nursery will be open for ages 1-3.
